Adria Arjona Pulls Up a Chair at L’Oréal Paris, Cafécito in Hand

The Puerto Rican actress is L'Oréal Paris's newest global ambassador, and her debut campaign is built around two coffee breaks, one Parisian, one Latin.
The most interesting thing about the new Adria Arjona L’Oréal Paris partnership is the coffee. The Puerto Rican actress has just been named a global ambassador for the brand, and her debut campaign unfolds around a table with two daily rituals: the Parisian “Pause Café” and the Latin “Pause Cafécito.”
It’s a neat bit of staging. L’Oréal Paris gets to nod to its French identity, and Arjona gets to bring her own culture to the same table. Her invitation to audiences is to join her for a candid conversation about matriarchal wisdom, family lineage and the power of owning your story. Her favorite sweet treats are on the table too, because nobody opens up over an empty plate.

The campaign is billed as an intimate introduction, both to Arjona and to her relationship with the brand. That framing matters. This isn’t a face dropped onto a billboard with a slogan; it’s a first conversation, and she’s the one hosting.
Why Arjona, and why now
L’Oréal Paris describes this as a fresh chapter for the beauty giant, with cultural connection, community pride and women owning their own stories at the heart of the partnership. The brand says Arjona brings a “magnetic screen presence” and “unmistakable authenticity,” along with a culturally resonant perspective.
Laura Branik, president of L’Oréal Paris USA, put the heritage point plainly. “Welcoming Adria Arjona, whose heritage is an important part of her perspective, is especially meaningful,” she said. Branik added that the brand has long believed “every woman deserves to feel seen, valued and worth it,” and called that belief its foundation, one it builds on by investing in people, research and innovation to serve the diversity of beauty around the world. Arjona’s voice, she said, will help carry that belief forward in the line everyone knows: “You’re Worth It.”
Arjona made the partnership personal. She said joining as a global ambassador is even more meaningful because it lets her share her story, her culture and the women in her life who helped shape her.
“Porque tú lo vales”
Her statement is where the campaign’s thesis lives. “I’ve always believed that beauty isn’t about being perfect,” Arjona said. In her telling, it’s about knowing who you are, embracing what makes you different and being proud of where you come from. She grew up surrounded by “incredible Latina women” who taught her that strength, confidence and beauty come from within, and she says those are values she carries every day. Her hope is to remind women everywhere that there is “so much beauty in simply being yourself.”
She signed off by translating the brand’s famous slogan into Spanish: “Porque tú lo vales.” Small touch, big grin. It also lines up neatly with the campaign itself, where the two languages and the two coffee breaks sit side by side instead of one standing in for the other.
What’s in her makeup bag
Ambassadors always have favorites. Arjona’s are specific, at least: Plump Ambition Hyaluron lip oil, Colour Riche Satin lipstick, Preference Luminizer, Serum Le Duo, Lumi Glotion, Elvive Collagen-Lifter mousse, Blurfiller Blurring lip contour, Elnett hairspray and Volume Liberté mascara. Lips get the most attention, with a lip oil, a satin lipstick and a blurring lip contour all making the cut. Glow, skin, hair and lashes are covered too.
The role is broad. Arjona will appear in L’Oréal Paris’s global brand storytelling and lead product campaigns across makeup, skincare, haircare and hair color. Those campaigns will feature staples of the brand across digital, social and broadcast platforms, and they kick off across the U.S. in the coming weeks.
So expect to see a lot of her soon, probably with a small cup nearby.
