The Blood & Wate series Season 2
The South African series “Blood & Water” has just been renewed for a second season. Available since May 20th, the first season of only 6 episodes quickly won the hearts of millions of subscribers. To reveal this good news, Netflix decided to play the surprise card. Indeed, the streaming giant has unveiled, on its social networks, a video showing Nosipho Dumusa, the director, announcing the renewal to the various members of the cast. We can then see Ama Qamata (Puleng Khumalo), Khosi Ngema (Fikile Bhele), Thabang Molaba (KB) or Arno Greeff (Chris), learn the news and go from surprise to tears of joy. Of course, no release date has been announced. But if the health situation allows filming to resume soon, fans can easily hope to find Puleng, Fikile and the others, during next year…
“Blood & Water” is reminiscent of the Elite and Gossip Girl series – tells the story of a young teenage girl, Puleng Khumalo, who happens to meet Fikile Bhele, a wealthy high school student and future swimming champion. She becomes convinced that the latter is none other than her sister Phume, who disappeared 17 years ago. To carry out her investigation, Puleng joins the same prestigious high school as Fikile and gets closer to her friends to find the answers to her questions. All this against a backdrop of stories of hearts, jealousy, friendship and rivalry. One thing is certain, the explosive ending of this first one leads us to believe that the sequel will be just as explosive. So did Puleng get it right: are Fikile and Phume one and the same person? Patience, patience…
