G-Easy Releases “I Wanna Rock Ft. Gunna
G-Easy goes off in his new heist-themed music video for “I Wanna Rock” and Gunna joins him shotgun. “I Wanna Rock” delivers G-Easy’s signature flows over Boi-1da hard hitting production. The video accompanying the song follows the rapper from a mental institution to dodging police cars as a robbery fugitive. The “spooky” video, directed by Daniel CZ, makes strong references to October’s Joker film as it begins with G-Easy struggling to get out of a straight jacket. He proceeds to rob an armored truck and escape in a sports car, as the cameras follow the rapper through the streets of LA. In a not-so-shocking ending, G-Easy meets Gunna at the strip club to celebrate the heist as they throw bills at the strippers.
The Oakland native is coming off of a shoe deal with PUMA and will be headlining the Rolling Loud festival this year. G-Easy has spent 2019 releasing songs off of his B-Side Series, including recent singles “No Rappers” ft. E-40 and “Too Loud” ft. Nef The Pharaoh. He also hinted on Instagram that he’s preparing for something; a new album fans hope. “I Wanna Rock” follows “Bang” as the latest G-Easy collaboration alongside a big named rapper. In “Bang,” G-Easy and Tyga competed in a heated basketball game in front of hyped up fans. Another fun collaboration earlier this year featured an all-star cast of G-Easy, Allblack, Blueface, and YG in the California-themed “West Coast.” The four rappers faced off against the bass-heavy beats of the song with LA vs. The Bay sounds.
