The Miss Germany 2020 is 35 years old and a child
A revolution in Beauty Pageants…
The 2020 edition of the Miss Germany has opened the competition to women between the ages of 18 and 39 and invites married women and mothers to enter. The new concept is no longer reserved only for young unmarried people without children. The goal is to focus above all on the personality of the candidates.
35-year-old, Leonie Von Hase, is the first Miss Germany elected on Saturday, February 15th, under the compétitions new criteria. She is the mother of a three-year-old child and creator of an online shop. The miss won against two students, Lara Runarsson and Michelle-Anastasia Masalis and 13 other finalists.
Leonie Von Hase adopted the motto for this year: “Empowering authentic women”. After her victory, the new Miss Germany wanted to pass on a message: “I believe that there should no longer be a beauty standard for women. Women should be seen in their variety and in their beauty as they get older too. I want to be a role model and urge others that you are never too old and that it’s never too late.”
