On TILTED

When I think of tilted I think of off balanced, interesting, different, also I feel there’s a story there. Without tilts turns and curves what would we have? The name just became cooler, nice way to kick it off.

On CREATIVITY

Creativity is the ability to see, hear, feel things that aren’t there. Things that don’t exist and then going the extra of bringing those things, those ideas to life to share with the world.

On FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is dear, different than most relationships because its chosen. Relatives are preconceived, enemies are results of misfortunate events. Friends, those are the people that you choose to be in your life and uphold a code to remain in your life. A friendship can turn into many things, in which, all become better because of it.

On FAMILY

Family can be many things, for some its everything and for others its nothing. A lot of people take it out of context and call the closest ones to them their family, but I think that undermines what those relationships really are. Family can be interesting, no two are the same but nonetheless you are an extension of yours, that you must accept.

On SEXUAL FLUIDITY

Sexual fluidity is real and always has been real. I’m happy to be a part of a generation that is leading the march in both acknowledging and supporting one’s right to love whomever he/she pleases. Love can’t be labeled.

On FAITH

Faith is everything, a big thing as of lately, well I should say a trendy thing, is energy. Energy and faith are the same thing. If you believe in something so strongly, that’s faith; you exert that energy and you can manifest that in which you desire. I’m a strong believer in faith, safe to say I have faith in faith.

On GENDER EQUALITY

This shouldn’t be an issue, if anything our women should be held on pedestals, or be championed to hold pedestals if that’s their choice. lol I have 6 sisters and grew up with all aunts, there is no strength, love or fury (lol), like a woman’s. There are gender roles implemented in activities like sports that I don’t see a problem—ie. football, but when it comes to equal rights, pay, respect and opportunity, women should be respected as equal, if not greater parts.

On RACIAL FLUIDITY

Racial fluidity is a tricky one, although its man-made, race holds a lot of weight, especially in the U.S. If I decide to identify as a white man, I’m not suddenly accepted by the world as a white man, I’ll just be a delusional black man.  FX’s “Atlanta” did a hilarious episode on this very topic. Identifying with a culture is solid though, I think everyone should explore as many cultures as possible as it expands the worldview.

On SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media is a double edge sword, like most things. It provides the world with complete transparency to any and everything. I receive my breaking news from Twitter and Instagram, but of course it has downsides as well. In entertainment, social media eliminates the “gate keepers,” and you can write your own ticket. What was once “Americas got talent” is now Instagram. With a window to so much, people interact in person a lot less, kids play outside a lot less, the world is a lot more pretentious, what’s real is fading away at an exponential rate. I have no idea what the long-term effects are, but I don’t see it being good.

On CLIMATE CHANGE

I don’t know enough about climate change and understand I need to educate myself more on the topic. From what I do know, ice caps are melting at an alarming rate, natural disasters are happening more frequently, it’s all bad. This is literally our only home. If we want future generations to witness the beauty and wonders of the world, we have to focus more on preserving the planet. People focus so much on having more of everything, we only get one earth and without it none of those other things matter.

On IMPORTANCE OF POLITICS

I do not venture into politics, as there are so many layers, and many ulterior motives. There is so much information out there and  often times, it’s hard know what to believe.

On TECHNOLOGY

I love technology. I have a slight fear that people will try to take technology too far and the outcome will be fatal, resulting in regulations. However, when you think about it, the government still has access and will eventually weaponize that said technology and it’s all downhill from there. But I love the mini spy in my pocket, I mean my iphone.

On VIDEO GAMES

Not really a Gamer, I get bored playing games.

On IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL STYLE

Personal style separates you from everyone else, my friends and I call that creez. It’s not only what you were and how you wear it but the confidence that you possess while wearing it.

On WORLD WITHOUT FRONTIERS

The world without frontiers? There would be no world, Adam would’ve never bit the apple or if you’re more scientifically grounded, man would’ve never made fire and eventually froze to death.

On CULTURAL DIVERSITY

Cultural Diversity is very important. It not only provides equal-opportunity but it provides so many different perspectives, a melting pot of culture, views and opinions from different corners of the world. Representation of diverse cultures also inspires and influences our youth which is most important. Cultural diversity is just not important on the surface, but at a foundational level.
